Current Trail Closures
LOWCOUNTRY
MIDLANDS
7/15/26: ENOREE PASSAGE
The Enoree Passage is still not 100% open due to the Forest Service construction repairs of several bridges and boardwalks. While it might be possible to work your way through some of these locations, for the most part they are hard stops. Extreme boardwalk damage exists at Beaver Ponds, mile 20.5, Duncan Creek, mile 24.5, and the Enoree River, mile 30. Otherwise, the trail itself has been cleared of hurricane damage, although there may be an occasional tree which has recently fallen and not yet identified for removal.
7/16/26: FORT JACKSON
The new procedures for accessing the installation is now through an online application process for a Visitor Pass. You can now submit an online application without having to go to the Visitor Control Center at Gate 2. You will receive a text message either confirming your approval or letting you know you have been denied. The pass will then be digitally assigned to your ID used and when you arrive at the gate, simply present the ID for the gate guard to scan. This will allow use of Gate 1 without having to go to the Visitor Control Center at Gate 2, as long as you arrive during the hours that Gate 1 is open.
The website for the online application is: https://pass.aie.army.mil/
