Experience the magic of the trail after dark!
Join the Palmetto Trail for a special Full Moon Hike on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 8:00
PM – 10:00 PM along the beautiful Palmetto Trail. We’ll gather at the Alston Trailhead (State
Rd S-20-35, Little Mountain, SC 29075) on the scenic Peak to Prosperity Passage for an evening
adventure under the glow of April’s Pink Moon.
As daylight fades and the moon rises, participants will enjoy a guided night hike featuring:
Stargazing beneath the open sky
Sensory exploration activities designed to heighten awareness
A peaceful walk illuminated by moonlight
A chance to experience the trail in an entirely new way
Night hiking offers a unique perspective on the natural world. Without the distractions of
daylight, your senses come alive, sounds become clearer, scents more noticeable, and the forest
feels wonderfully different under a moonlit sky.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or simply looking for a memorable outdoor experience, this full
moon hike promises connection, curiosity, and a little bit of nighttime magic.
Mark your calendar, bring a flashlight or headlamp (with red light if possible), and come
discover the trail after dark with us!
We can’t wait to see you under the full moon.
