Spring migration is in full swing, and there’s no better place to experience it than along thescenic Broad River. This guided bird walk will focus on spotting colorful spring migrantsmoving through the area, as well as the year-round resident species that call this stretch of forestand river habitat home. The Peak to Prosperity Passage offers a wonderful mix of riparian corridors, mature hardwoodforest, and open edges, creating ideal conditions for a wide variety of birds. As we walk, leaderswill help participants identify birds by sight and sound, share tips for improving birding skills,and discuss the importance of protecting river and forest ecosystems. This event is in partnership with the South Carolina State Museum’s “Wings of WonderExhibition”. We recommend that all interested bird watchers take the opportunity to visit thiswonderful exhibit in Columbia that will be featured from March 7 th – August 30 th , 2026.Whether you’re brand new to birding or an experienced enthusiast, this walk is designed to bewelcoming, educational, and enjoyable for all. Join us for a beautiful spring morning of birding along the Peak to Prosperity Passage of the
Palmetto Trail!

Spring migration is in full swing, and there’s no better place to experience it than along the
scenic Broad River. This guided bird walk will focus on spotting colorful spring migrants
moving through the area, as well as the year-round resident species that call this stretch of forest
and river habitat home.
