5K VOLUNTEER

Looking for ways to get involved? Our True to the Brew races are incredible events—but each one relies on a strong team of volunteers to keep things running smoothly. We’re now recruiting volunteers for all three 2026 races. If you’d like to be part of something exciting and meaningful, please register to volunteer for the 5k no later than the weekend before the events, February 28th, 2026. 

Here's what we need from our volunteers:

The 5k race begins at 9:00 AM

In order for things to run smoothly, we ask that you please be at the Palmetto Trail headquarters (722 King Street, Columbia, SC) by 7:30am. We will have most volunteers standing at each street corner to help the racers know the direction of the race along with watching for traffic changes. We will also need volunteers to help with water, snacks, and other tasks at the finish line! The 7:30AM arrival time will allow us to stage volunteers along the path with plenty of time before the race begins. 

Once you have registered to volunteer, we will stay in communication with you covering everything you will need to know by race day!
