Palmetto Health
Community Serves
has funded two
of PCF’s active
living programs,
the Junior
Trailblazer Club
and Senior
Explorers.
Thanks to
Palmetto Health
the JTC, which
started in the
spring of 2008,
has grown to be
a successful
children’s
program. This
program focuses
on children’s
health and
environmental
awareness. Over
800 students in
Richland County
have completed
the program and
become Junior
Trailblazers.
Senior Explorers
is one of PCF’s
newest programs
that works with
the senior adult
population
throughout the
state. Funding
from Palmetto
Health has
allowed PCF to
plan active
outings for
seniors, which
include lessons
on health,
fitness, and
nutrition.
There is a
growing need for
this type of
program and PCF
is proud to
partner with
Palmetto Health
to make it
happen.
