The Jeffrey Paul Breu
Mountain Bike Advocacy Memorial Fund

Created through the Palmetto Conservation Foundation, the memorial fund was established to preserve and honor the life and memory of Jeffrey Paul Breu through trail maintenance, advocacy, planning and use.

Affectionately known as “Ponytail Jeff,” Jeff began riding a bike when he was in elementary school. While in high school, he spent much of his spare time riding his bikes and working in a bike shop. His parents, Mary and Jerry, said, "There is not a trail in South Carolina or Georgia that Jeff hasn’t ridden." After high school and years of mountain biking, Jeff desired a new challenge, so he turned his eye to competitive road biking. With his cat, Gordon, by his side on many of his trips, Jeff took on the biking community.  More recently, Jeff also began to run, challenging himself to a whole new level. His parents said, "He was a phenomenal athlete and a tremendous person. His greatest passion was cycling."
