Palmetto
Conservation Foundation commences spring Junior Trailblazer Program
Columbia, SC – Palmetto Conservation Foundation announced
the start of the second year of their Junior Trailblazer Program, sponsored by
Palmetto Health. This spring a variety
of children will be participating in the program, including classes at Caughman
Road and Killian elementary schools, multiple
home-school groups and local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops.
The Junior Trailblazer Program provides South
Carolina’s youth with the opportunity to improve
their quality of life and general health by getting outdoors. Students in the program participate in a
variety of educational, hands-on classes all concentrated around nature topics. The classes also include recreational
activities where students will have the chance to explore the many passages of
the Palmetto Trail. For more information
about the Junior Trailblazer Program, visit their website at

The Palmetto
Conservation Foundation is a statewide, non-profit membership organization
based in Columbia, S.C. The group works to conserve South Carolina’s important natural and cultural
resources, preserve historic landmarks and promote outdoor recreation and
active living through trails and greenways.
